A VIEW FROM THE OLD CLUB HOUSE

After such a devastating series of revelations it was time to repair to The Old Club House for talk of Hegel and the "bodyline" Ashes tour of Australia of 1932-33.  The latter indicated the tensions between Old Empire and the wishes of countries like Australia for more autonomy from the "mother country" and a growing sense of nationalism.
